Goals: 

I want to know how brain parts connect to each other. Currently, I am developing methods for modulating and studying functional connections in monkey brains in a rapid and systematic way. I hope to see whether we can obtain connectivity matrices at submillimeter level for monkey brains, whether these connections can explain the surprisingly ordered functional maps in primate brains, and whether these connectivity matrices make sense from an evolutionary and developmental perspective. Ultimately, I want to know if these brain networks can help us explain the complex brain structures and functions from simple principles.
